Transurban was established on 14 March 1996 by the Victorian Government to develop and operate the CityLink toll road in Melbourne. It has since grown into a portfolio of around two dozen toll roads across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, the Greater Washington area in the United States and Montreal in Canada. Headquartered in Docklands, Melbourne, it focuses on large, congested urban corridors and operates the Linkt electronic tolling brand in Australia.
